Brian is a 2003 graduate of the Stillpoint Massage Therapy Program at Greenfield Community College
in Greenfield, MA. In addition to massage techniques,
this full-time, 9-month, 700-hour program included a focus on science (Anatomy & Physiology, Myology, Kinesiology, and Pathology) and professional skills. Graduating top in his class with a 3.96 GPA, he
was awarded the Allison Mace Massage Therapy Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a
graduating student, based not only on academic achievement, but also by nomination and approval
of Stillpoint’s faculty and staff.

In June of 2003, one week after graduation, he was licensed and began his private practice as Focus Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in Northampton, MA. He maintained his private practice until October 2004, when he was offered the managerial position at Underground Day Spa on Main Street in Northampton. While managing the spa, he continued to see massage clients during his 2 year stay. In October 2006 he made the decision to return to private practice to focus on his work with CranioSacral Therapy.

The path of CranioSacral Therapy

While in private practice in 2003, Brian began to explore and experience other forms of bodywork to familiarize himself with additional techniques to better serve his clientele. In September of 2003, this led him to CranioSacral Therapy . It only took one session for him to experience the depth and power of this work to know that he needed to study it. He was amazed that such light touch could have such profound healing effects on the body. Two months later he participated in a two day Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy course and began his study and practice of this work.

In April 2004, he took the full CranioSacral Therapy level one training and soon after began incorporating the work into his private practice with tremendous results. By the end of 2005, he had completed the first four core classes of CranioSacral Therapy (including SomatoEmotional Release) through the Upledger Institute . He had also begun assisting CranioSacral Therapy I classes, including the Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy for Small Animals.

Now, he is a teaching assistant for the first four core craniosacral classes (CranioSacral Therapy I & II and SomatoEmotional Release I & II) for the Upledger Institute, and a certified study group leader. Brian also works one-on-one mentoring students of CranioSacral Therapy.

On August 7, 2008, Brian completed a two and a half year process to become an Upledger Certified CranioSacral Therapist. He is one of only 25 certified therapists in the state of Massachusetts; one of only 643 certified in the U.S.; and one of 1293 certified in the world.

In December of 2008, he completed the requirements needed to become a Certified Teaching Assistant.

Brian is very passionate about his work with CranioSacral Therapy. He feels blessed and honored to be able to share this work with his clients and other bodyworkers.
